Why was the IGBD rating info removed, are we trying to hide something or the rating of the game. We need to be very genuine about the information of a game putting emotion aside and to not be bias, pls give me a reason.
IGBD rating info
Tecc have already explained why in their change summary:
- there's only 3 scored reviews which is not sufficient as per the Editing Guide
If you look at the Editing Guide for the Infobox you'll find that a minimum of 4 reviews are a requirement for a score to be listed, and for IGDB this means the critic ratings and not members ratings.
Over on IGDB's Black Mesa page, only 3 critics ratings are listed, which means the rating should not be listed on PCGW.
We have this minimum reviews requirement to ensure scores are not unduly weighted which tend to occur when based on 3 or fewer reviews.
Oh ok, now I understands. I didn't know the minimum was 4 for IGDB. Will keep this limit in mind, thanks.
I have noticed, that you removed links to IGDB from several articles. What is the motivation behind it ? Are the links broken for you ?
Previously, the IGDB link on the reception row wouldn't link to IGDB if the score was not specified (left blank). A while ago, Aemony made changes to the infobox template, so that even if the rating is not specified in the reception row, it now links to IGDB without the need to use the |igdb = parameter anymore. So I just removed the |igdb parameter in the articles that already has the IGDB link in the reception row.
Ah, I did not notice, that the link stayed in the article. Thank you for the explanation.
The IGDB link is still there for me on my end. Unsure why you can't see it though.
I am a plonker. I expected it to see below the Metacritic-rating. Excuse the disturbance.
