I wanted to ask you how do you define if something is pixel art?

Eastward does not use DX10

Why do you keep claiming Eastward uses DX10 on Windows when not only does it not claim that in the official system requirements, but you fail to provide citation? A quick test of what graphics API it hooks via ReShade confirms that it will not hook on DX10, but it will hook on OpenGL.

Mrscottypieey (talkcontribs)

It uses DirectX 10 api on Windows. On macOS it uses OpenGL 3.2. It will hook OpenGL on Windows, there is a command.

Mrscottypieey (talkcontribs)

It's only version 1.0.5 that I installed and ReShade will look DirectX 10 ReShade in version 1.0.5.

Macgovern (talkcontribs)

That would make sense. The current version on GOG, 1.1.5., is the one which uses OpenGL on Windows as well.

Macgovern (talkcontribs)

Just looked it up on SteamDB, and it does, indeed, support DX10 via a launch option: https://steamdb.info/app/977880/config/

Had you linked to that, or provided a screenshot of Steam's launch options, this conversation could've been avoided.

Mrscottypieey (talkcontribs)

Default it will launch in DirectX 10 by using this command "--gfx dx10". And you can also use OpenGL "---gfx gl"

Macgovern (talkcontribs)

The GOG version does the opposite - it launches in OpenGL mode by default, and I have to manually supply the "--gfx dx10" command line argument as GOG doens't supply a shortcut pre-configured with it.

Hi. I noticed that you have the tendency to create new articles here on the wiki with absolutely zero information. Please, refrain from creating new articles if you are not willing to curate at least the most basic details. Try to add at least some basic information like cover, developers, publishers, stores, system requirements (if available), details from Steam (if available on the platform), etc, when you create a new page. Thank you.
