Tried it and doesnt work. It only works for me if i paste the texts to the bottom of <path-to-game>/default.ini I use a Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, probably all other device need the same method.

It doesn't. Tried it myself.
As for the game speed increase. It'd be nice if you could record that and put it as reference so there is 100% undeniable proof and people won't question it.
