it doesnt detect ANY controller instead only showing "unknown device" and not allowing me to map any inputs to any controler i have...

Just a couple of Steam discussions I found while searching online seems to suggest reinstalling the game on a different drive "fixes" this particular issue, if not just simply a reinstall. Another implied the game has issues recognising more than one controller if there are others connected, with disconnecting or disabling unneeded ones via device manager being a suggestion. Maybe worth a try.
