Touken Ranbu Series?

3
KyoriAsh (talkcontribs)

Regarding the recent edit, FYI, Touken Ranbu is a Browser game, do you seriously wanted to have a browser game article?

KyoriAsh (talkcontribs)

Never mind, there is a sample series page which includes the browser game link.

Jigen123 (talkcontribs)

I usually don't write articles about browser games (never did, actually), but i thought about Naruto Online being listed on the Naruto series page... Not only it is listed, it also has a dedicated page. Even the MS Store version of that game uses some sort of dedicated browser to run.
That's pretty much the reason i decided to list Touken Ranbu. And yeah, it's one of those decisions i'm not super sure about and i'm open to discussion about the possibility to delete the series page.
Have a nice day.

Hey man, i saw that you removed my edit regarding the NPC "shaking" bug on the Far Cry 3 page. You're right that RTSS and Nvidia inspector do not CAUSE it, however it happened a lot more frequently when i had my framerate capped using either of those programs, like pretty much every 2nd NPC i encountered was bugged, but when i uncapped the framerate or used the ingame v-sync to cap it, the bug was very rare and almost never occured weirdly enough.

Jigen123 (talkcontribs)

Hi! Thank you for your message.
I think you can re-add your note about the "shaking" NPCs bug if you point out and make clear that RTSS and Nvidia Inspector are not the cause of it but they "just" make an already existing bug happen more frequently.
Have a nice day.

Karasuhebi (talkcontribs)

Hey sorry for re-adding the Wikia links. The way you worded your summary I thought you just removed them because they were dead links. My bad! Karasuhebi (talk) 13:36, 6 October 2021 (UTC)

Jigen123 (talkcontribs)

No prob, mate.

Silent Hill fixes: harmful links or not? [SOLVED]

Jigen123 (talkcontribs)

Hi everybody, i'm trying to play the classic Silent Hill games on a modern PC. Everything went fine with SH2 and 3, but now i need the Nemesis wrapper for Silent Hill 4 but when i click on the link on this page (http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Silent_Hill_4:_The_Room) to download it, my Firefox stops me saying that ps2wide.net (the site where the wrapper is hosted) is an harmful site. Is this true? Does anyone have an alternative download link? Thanks.

I would probably avoid it for now until it's confirmed that it's safe. Just to make sure that the website wasn't compromised.

DO NOT convert JPGs to PNGs

4
Anonymous (talkcontribs)

It has come to the attention of your fellow moderators that you've been converting JPGs to PNGs. As covers are required to adhere to the same rules as screenshots, this is not acceptable - especially from a staff editor.

To doth quote from the guide: "Never convert lossy file formats such as JPG to lossless formats such as PNG. If no alternative version of the image is available or can be created in a lossless format, using the original lossy image is preferable."

You are fortunate that, like all members of PCGW, staff or not, I am merely giving you a warning over this. Continued behavior will result in a ban.

No one, not even staff or admins, are above PCGW's rules.

Jigen123 (talkcontribs)

That's a nice way to treat users who contribute to the site. That "you are fortunate i'm not banning you" is really, really classy. There was absolutely no better way to warn me about this. Thank you.

Andytizer (talkcontribs)

Hi Jigen123 can you make sure to be active on Discord and then we'll be able to discuss any editing guidelines privately rather than on Talk pages, and potentially we can have this Talk page topic removed.

Jigen123 (talkcontribs)

My problem with this is not that it's public, the problem is the form of the message. A message like "you are fortunate i'm not banning you" must be one of the cringiest and most disrespectful stuff someone can write as a moderation warning. Anyway, i now understand what i was doing wrong and there is no need to further explain the issue. Thank you.

The PC version of AC Origins does not support full controller remapping

Xerorayt (talkcontribs)

Ubisoft only gave the player two toggleable options, Default, and alternative.

Xerorayt (talkcontribs)

I've updated the page with screenshots of controller options to support the statement.

Surge Concerto articles

1
KyoriAsh (talkcontribs)

As you said, it should be under Ar Tonelico series, however official categorized the nosurge series as Surge Concerto instead of Ar Tonelico series, and as of Wikipedia:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ar_Tonelico

Instead of "Ar Tonelico" series, why not Exa Pico Universe Series as Ar Tonelico and Surge Concerto are different storylines but under the same universe?

Although it is the *prequel* of Ar Tonelico, but official didn't categorized them as Ar Tonelico series and neither Wikipedia

Also, regarding the article between Ar nosurge: Ode to an Unborn Star Deluxe and Ar Nosurge: Ode to an Unborn Star DX, I was following how steamdb title named. I understand that you used the Switch version naming and requested to delete my article, but why not doing a merger where one title redirect to another?

Why did you revert my edit?

Such claims need a reliable ref.

Ciocolici (talkcontribs)

Like what? I am the reference. I have a really high end pc and had the issue. Same for a friend of mine with another high end pc. There's no way I can prove something like that. Just wanted to give a hint to the others, so they know before they wonder why they have stuttering. Oh well, you can leave it removed if you so want. :P

Jigen123 (talkcontribs)

"I am the reference" won't cut it in a case like this. I did not experience that issue and by your logic i'm the reference that disputes your claim. See what i'm trying to say here?

Ciocolici (talkcontribs)

Yup. You are right from that pov, I guess. Only wanted to help, I don't have experience in editing wiki pages, sorry! And to me and my friend it caused minor stuttering for some reason.

Duke Nukem 3D 20th Anniversary Cloud Saves

Tyl0413 (talkcontribs)

It's not listed on the store page because it doesn't actually work, i'm playing it right now and nothing is syncing, asked others and say it doesn't work for them either because even though in Steam it says it supports it it's not actually implemented in the game therefor it doesn't work

Andytizer (talkcontribs)
