I believe this is similar to what's now described in the notes under the "max quality" part: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Medal_of_Honor:_Allied_Assault#Max_quality_graphics_settings

It might deserve its own section, outside of the "max quality" bit, though I am not sure how common the issue is. Might belong under 'Issues fixed' more than just the video section in general.

With 'r_subdivisions "3"' specifically being a part of the solution. For me, that alone didn't fix it, but adding the rest of it as well did solve it.

I do sadly not know which exact entries solves it, and whether all r_ entries are required for it to be solved. I neither understand each line well enough, nor can bother brute forcing different combinations.
