List of games available on Chrome Web Store

From PCGamingWiki, the wiki about fixing PC games
Revision as of 16:58, 11 February 2022 by Dave247 (talk | contribs) (Removed protection from "List of games available on Chrome Web Store": Unprotected as manual list.)

This is an early-in-progress manual list of legitimate games known to be downloadable from Chrome Web Store, meaning they can be run on any known desktop operative system (incl. Chrome OS, Windows, macOS, Linux, FreeBSD) and architecture (64-bit, 32-bit, ARM, possibly others) that support Chrome and Chromium-based browsers, incl. Opera, Vivaldi, Edge, and many others. This also makes the games easily playable on Chromebooks without needing the Android or Linux compatibility layers.

Chrome Web Store is scheduled to remove all support for apps and games in June 2022,[1] which may heavily affect the ability to download and run the below games, even on older Chrome versions.

Issues fixed

Chrome Web Store doesn't display any games on Windows/macOS/Linux

Use a different user agent to make the browser think you're on Chrome OS.[2]
  1. Press F12 (Ctrl+Shift+I in Opera) to open Dev Tools.
  2. In the top bar of that Dev Tools page, go to More toolsNetwork conditions. This will open up a new menu on the bottom.
  3. In the Network Conditions menu on the bottom, go to User Agent → Remove the tick from Select Automatically → Choose Custom... in the dropdown immediately below → In the textbox below the dropdown, replace any current text there with Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 13505.100.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/87.0.4280.142 Safari/537.36
  4. Keep the Dev Tools open, and reload the page.
  5. The Programs and Games sections of Chrome Web Store should now be visible.

Notes

While there are Chrome extensions that simplify the user agent change process, such extensions have a rather poor security record.[3][4]
