Crashing when NPCs enter combat mode

When mounting your directories (or automounting them in a .conf file) make sure to mount the game as shown in Example 1:

(assuming that the game is in the directory "c:\games\harvest")

Example 1 (Good idea):

mount c c:\games
c:
cd harvest
harvest

Example 2 (Bad idea):

mount c c:\games\harvest
c:
harvest

The way shown in the second example will cause a crash when any NPC attempts to enter combat with you.

Videos not playing when in full-screen mode

Go to your Harvester dosbox config file and change the line "output=surface" to "output=overlay" (without the quote marks).
