Key points

The GOG.com/Steam versions differ in features, interface, and performance from the Humble version. The GOG.com/Steam versions offer support for online play as well as a few extra modes. The frontend for these versions also allows more customization.

Questionable emulation resulting in dropped frames and audio delays (particularly noted in the GOG.com/Steam versions).

Skip intro screens

Skip intro^{[citation needed]}
Go to `<path-to-game>\resources\splashes`. Rename, move, or delete the image files `NG2TH.jpg`, `splash_dot.png`, and `splash_snk.png` located in the folder. The game will now start with a very brief white screen on boot up and then go straight into the (skippable) arcade intro video much faster.
