Luminous Productions was a Japanese development studio and a subsidiary of Square Enix.
Originally established as a division within Square Enix as Square Enix Business Division 2 in December 2013, it was later spun-off and established as an external company as Luminous Productions on March 27, 2018.
It was later merged with its parent company internally on May 1, 2023 and became part of Creative Business Unit II.
