Red Alert 2 is a strategy game that takes place in a altered history where the Soviet Union invades the United States of America in the seventies. This is where the series departed from the main "Tiberium" storyline of the series and was decidedly more wacky and silly than the previous games in the series. The game features two sides; the Soviet Union, who favor heavily armored and powerful war machines, and the Allied Nations, who favor lighter and faster forces. The expansion pack, Yuri's Revenge, adds a third side commanded by the evil psychic mastermind Yuri which specializes in unusual technologies and strategies such as mind control and mutating enemy infantry.

Issues and Fixes

LAN patch (fan made)

This is a small patch that lets you play LAN on Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 (and their expansion packs) in Windows 2000 and above by changing IPX protocol to UDP. [2]

For changing resolution open file RA2.ini with any text editor and type your resolution there:
