Warnings
- SafeDisc retail DRM does not work on Windows Vista and later (see Availability for affected versions).
- The Mac OS X version of this game does not work on Mac OS X Lion (version 10.7) or later due to the removal of support for PowerPC apps.

- Limited preset styled in-game video options. Most settings have to be changed through a special launcher.
- Make sure to run the game and the setup launcher as an administrator. No compatibility modes should be required.

- This game is not available digitally.
Essential improvements
Patches
Patch 1.1
- Fixes a number of bugs present on the original release.
Patch 1.2
- Additional changes from patch 1.1 are included.
- On certain cases the music folder might be deleted randomly. In order to restore it see missing music.
Patch 1.3
- Adds support for the P-5 Glove.
- Contents from the previous patches are also included.
- Installing this patch without copying a special .dll into the main installation path, will always make the game crash. It can be downloaded from here.
Misc
Black & White Online Launcher
- Streamlined client, makes playing online far easier.
- Fairly buggy on more modern OSs, still in development.
Patch Uninstaller
- Useful for either quickly downgrading or reinstalling a certain patch quickly.
Windows XP Hotfix 824141
- Installing Windows XP SP2 fixes this issue.
