Crysis is a game developed by Crytek, published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows, and released in November 2007. It is the first game of a trilogy. A standalone expansion pack entitled Crysis Warhead was released on September 12, 2008, and follows the events of Crysis but from a different narrative perspective. Crysis, Crysis Warhead and a multiplayer expansion called Crysis Wars were re-released as a compilation pack titled Crysis Maximum Edition on May 5, 2009. At the time Crysis was released, and years thereafter, it has been praised for its milestones in graphical design (commensurate with high hardware requirements). The sequel Crysis 2 was released in March of 2011, and Crysis 3 is currently in development.

Issues

If you are experiencing crashes while changing graphical of controller options, try disabling your Anti-Virus software, if you have AVG or Norton 360, this is most likely the cause of the crashing.

If you can't play the game in fullscreen on a 1920x1080 monitor or similar, you have to start the Game with DirectX9. On Steam you right-click the game -> Properties -> Set Launch Options, and type in "-dx9".
