Are you sure that this actually works? I wanted to verify it but it doesn't work, the game still crashes. I tried other wrappers before so I don't think that this is a rendering issue.

For me using vulkan worked. After I installed it and placing the widescreen patch dll it would crash to desktop immediately. I took a chance that maybe the DXVK would work and it started up fine and booted into the menu. I'm also using a cracked .exe also. Hmm, let's see I'm using a NVIDIA 3060 card, maybe your using a AMD?
I just retried to make sure that I wasn't just hallucinating and yeah it crashes to the desktop right after the black screen appears after deleting the vulkan dxvk x32 dlls. I've just re-copied and pasted the x32 dxvk dlls back into the directory and now it's booting up and no crashing to desktop. I have no idea why that's working for me.
