Maybe because the title and loading images are high-res 2photos of a 3d render, and the game is from a time when it was a bit rare to have a 3d scene in the title menu, a quick tester thought "there is no depth map", but the in-game depth map is just fine (you may want to disable all the in-game blur/depth/focus effects)
