I have the GOG version, tested on Intel(Celeron dual, i3 2nd gen, and i5 4th gen) and AMD(FX-4350 and Rizen 7 2700) machines on Windows 10 x64, never needed to apply this "fix".

Also, I have never been able to play Tropico 4 at 4K resolution on the AMD machines(with a 1070 card and the 4k monitor), always ended on CTD when I wanted to play, always played at 2K 1440p resolution without any issue, Steam and GOG forums talk about this issue, so I'm not the only one with the problem.

I submit my case for revision of those to topics: 4k resolution being "true" and the "Will not run on Windows 10 64bit" fix.

OP here, I tested the Windowed solution, didn't work on 1440p but did work with both monitors on 1366x768p.
