Fix for DualShock 4 Controllers Not Working

Hi folks, I don't fully understand formatting so I don't want to mess the page up.

A lot of people using DualShock 4 or DualSense Playstation controllers find that the game does not recognise inputs at all. I have found a consistent working method to get a DS4 controller working using DS4Windows.

First create a new profile with DS4Windows and select Xbox 360 as a preset.

When you play the game:

- Disconnect all controllers and start DS4Windows

- Launch the game

- Tab out to DS4Windows

- Go to the Output Slots tab

- Make sure the dropdown to the top right is set to Dynamic

- Click the top input in the list then the Plug button, choose your controllers profile (which should be the one created as an Xbox 360 preset) and leave it as Dynamic

- In the list of controllers it should now say Xinput# as 1 and Active should be unchecked to the right

- Plug your controller in and Active becomes checked

- Tab back into the game and it will be working

This works 100% of the time.

For Playstation 4 Controllers you need to use the Steam Input API, as Sony does not provide drivers for Windows (it uses generic Dinput drivers).

If you want plug-n-play, buy a Xbox Controller, since it uses Xinput and has official drivers.

Steam Input does not work for GamePass version, I should have mentioned that. You can't add the exe as a non-steam game as it's protected.

You need DS4Windows, it's a very popular program.
