The faces in the remaster arguably look worse than the original, shouldn't it be changed?
Unless a notable, deep-diving source like Digital Foundry pointed out how the faces look worse than the originals, no.
But the thing is that the matter of faces is subjective, and saying "enhanced" implies that it's an objective improvement, when it's not.
The marketing text on their store page says this:
"The game’s cutscenes, quirky cast of characters, and the majestic Pacific Northwest vistas have been enhanced for an experience that delivers as much on its visual impact as its unnerving atmosphere."
As Macgovern implied, we would need some reliable sources to refute that claim.
