Thrustmaster T300 Thrustmaster TS Racer Thrustmaster T-GT |
The Thrustmaster T500 is a racing wheel released by Thrustmaster on January 5, 2010.[1]
Unlike previous Thrustmaster's force feedback racing wheels which employs the Hybrid belt-pulley-and-gear-driven force feedback, the T500 is the first Thrustmaster racing wheel to have the belt-driven force feedback in the form of dual-belt-and-pulley-driven mechanism, powered by a 5Nm motor. Also new to the T500 is Thrustmaster's proprietary wheel quick release system and hall-sensor-based steering position tracking. There's an additional Mini-DIN port on the back for accessories.
The standard model comes with a Gran Turismo-branded steering wheel[Note 1] and a 3-pedal T3PA Pro pedal set. The Ferrari F1 Wheel Integral T500, which was released in October 2011, swapped the standard steering wheel with a replica of the Formula 1 Ferrari 2011 steering wheel.[2]
On PC, the T500 is compatible with games that support it, but requires to have Thrustmaster's driver to be installed to work. The wheel's settings can be adjust within the control panel (See Thrustmaster Control Panel).
