Meta Platforms, Inc., simply known as Meta, is a American multinational technology conglomerate.
The conglomerate was originally founded on January 4, 2004 as TheFacebook Inc., before renamed to Facebook Inc., and its best known of the social website Facebook. In 2021, Facebook was renamed to its current corporate name Meta Platforms, Inc.
Meta had also acquired Oculus VR, a company that produces virtual reality headsets. and becoming a big player in the virtual reality headset market.
