Patches

• The current official patch is patch 1.2.0416. This can be downloaded from the Bethesda download page
• The unofficial oblivion patch is a fan made patch that corrects thousands of errors in the game, as well as providing slight tweaks to improve the game play experience:
  • Unofficial Oblivion Patch (Made by Quarn and Kivan)
  • Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch (Made by Quarn and Kivan)
  • Unofficial Official Mods Patch (Made by Quarn and Kivan)

Mods

This is the section where you will find recommended mods.

• Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul

OOO was one of the most comprehensive and popular mods ever created, rebalancing the game and modifying virtually every aspect. View the PDF readme for more details.

• Book Jackets

Adds unique covers to every book in Oblivion. Also see DLC Book Jackets for the official DLC addons, and Book Jackets KOTN for Knights of the Nine.

• Midas Magic Spells Of Aurum

Adds over 300 new spells including summoning meteors, shooting laser beams, and even turning bodies into gold. Also adds new and exciting quests to other realms, with completely new creatures to fight, people to talk to, and new weapons to find.

Console Commands

To enable the use of console commands you must do these three steps:

1. Find your Oblivion.ini file.
   • To find this file you must go to your oblivion game directory and find this file in the main directory.
   • For Steam you will find this file in My Documents > My Games > Oblivion.
2. Open it with notepad.
   • Make an initial copy of this file just in case!
3. Find where it says "bAllowConsole" and set it to 1 if it is not already and save it.
   • Use CTRL+F to search for it within the .ini file.
