Template:Infobox Sniper Elite V2 was released in May 2012 and developed by Rebellion Developments. It is a reboot of the 2005 game Sniper Elite.

Availability

Sniper Elite V2 and its DLC runs on Steamworks, and all versions will activate on Steam.

Issues and Fixes

Cutscene Skip

Navigate to:

  • Windows 7: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\sniper elite v2\FMV\

Rename (or delete) the rebellion.bik file.

Refresh Rate Issues

Issues can occur with the games fixed refresh rate when using a monitor with a higher or lower refresh rate.[1] NVIDIA card users can fix this issue using a Refresh Rate Patcher which locks the frame rate for all games, and can easily be enabled/disabled.

Low Performance

This appears to be caused by the game process being set to 'low'. This can be set to 'high', but restarting the game will reset this to 'low'.[2]

Reportedly using Game Booster will fix this issue.[3]

Unable To Move

This can be fixed by disabling the anti-virus program running (such as Avast).[4]

Unresolved Issues

No Support For Windows XP

The game currently prevents users from installing on Windows XP. Currently the only solution is to install the game on Windows Vista or Windows 7.

Zooming Control Issue

Sometimes the zoom controls will cause the scope zoom to zoom in and out continuously.[5]

Crash After A Kill

Reportedly the game crashes after a kill in some instances.[6]
