Performance Issues
DirectX 10 mode is not optimized, and therefore when enabled can cause large performance drops on high end computers. Simply disabling Ambient Occulsion can enable a 30FPS performance boost. To activate DirectX 9, add -nod3d10 to the launch parameters. The image quality is nearly identical but performance is radically better. Recommended for all computers, whether or not you feel it's totally necessary.
