Widescreen resolution

This will only work in windowed mode

1. Open the configuration file:
   • GOG version: C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Hitman 2 Silent Assassin\Hitman2.ini
2. Search for the line Resolution and change to your desired resolution

Issues fixed

Crash To Desktop

Steam Version, Possibly CD version too

Open Steam
Right Click "Hitman 2"
Click "Hitman 2: Silent assassin configuration"
Ignore all the settings here and click save and launch.

It will edit your hitman2.ini and add a few lines.
Launch game and if It crashes to desktop or it loads but gives you a black screen.
Go to the directory - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hitman 2 Silent Assassin (or CD Equivalent directory)
Open "hitman2.ini"
Replace "DrawDll RenderD3D.dll"
with "DrawDll RenderOpenGL.dll"

Save the file.
Open Hitman 2 and Enjoy!

Steam not Found

1. Exit Steam.
2. Open your steam folder (most likely C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/)
   
3. Copy steam.dll to your Hitman: Silent Assassin folder (most likely C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hitman 2 Silent Assassin). Copy it. Do not move it.
   
4. Re-launch the game.
