Anti-aliasing
Lack of anti-aliasing in Section and running an nVidia card (ATI users can just force anti-aliasing through their control center)?
Download nVidia Inspector 1.95 here -> Right-click on desktop -> Left-click "NVIDIA Control Panel" -> "Manage 3D Settings -> "Add" -> Find "S9-Win32-F.exe" in the Section 8 program folder -> Apply and exit the Control Panel -> Extract and run "nvidiaInspector.exe" -> Next to "Driver Version" click the "Profile Settings" button -> Under profiles, search for "S9" and select it -> Under "Compatibility" set "Anti-Aliasing Compatibility" to "0x00000045 (APB, X-Men origins: Wolverine, Alpha Protocol...etc)" -> Under "Antialiasing" select "Antialiasing - setting" and use whatever your video card can handle -> Apply
I personally use "2x [2x Multisampling]" as many of the higher settings can cause bugs.
Alternatively use SMAA Injector, FXAA Injector, SweetFX
Note: If you've poked around in the S9Engine.ini file, you may see that it is possible to enable DX10 - it will work, however, the map does not function correctly and the game engine becomes erratic after prolonged play. The only improvement this option brings is shading techniques and lighting - you will only notice, say, trees looking more vibrant under DirectX 10.
