Max Payne

Windows 7/Vista Sound Fix

An issue exists for Windows Vista/7 users in which a large majority of voices in cutscenes and normal gameplay won't play. Information on a fix can be found here.

Videos/Game Crashing

Crashes and failure to load videos for the game, for the Windows 7 64-bit operating system, the best way to fix this would be to go to where the executable is. That is, in your Steam folder, and then right clicking the executable and then going to "Compatibility" tab and then set it to run on Windows XP and running as administrator.

Mouse Lag

If when playing you get mouse lag issues, go to the control panel. Then click on "Hardware and Sound" then under the category "Devices and Printers" click on Mouse. Under the Pointer Options tab uncheck "Enhance Pointer Precision". This will fix the mouse lag problem.

Windowed mode

Execute the game with the command line parameter -window.
