Key points
- Fairly moddable.
- Lacks an official map editor for new scenarios.
- Modding has to be done through third party programs, hence it may limit customization because of certain limits.
- Dwindling community.

Essential improvements
Patch compilation
- It includes many of the fixes and improvements from the US and EU official patch, as well as the unofficial 1.1 patch along with the content from the Bonus CD.
Patches
- The only official patch, released by Elixir before its demise in 2005. It fixes a number of issues, however it should be noted a number of issues still remain.
- An unofficial fan patch collated by Evil Planet. Although designed for the US release, most game elements introduced should function with European versions of the game. The patch improves upon many game elements that had previously frustrated players.
- A free expansion to the game, it provides a new unit, a new trap, and various other additions.
Enhancements
- Before getting started download every patch and the Bonus CD along with the universal resolution changer.
