Key points
- Fairly moddable.
- Lacks an official map editor for new scenarios.
- Modding has to be done through third party programs, hence it may limit customization because of certain limits.
- Dwindling community.

Official Patches
v1.01
v1.01 (EU/US) is the only official patch, released by Elixir before its demise in 2005. It fixes a number of issues, however it should be noted a number of issues still remain. Fixes in v1.01 included the following[1]:
- Multiple crash bugs resolved
- Minor scripting fixes
- Fixes to researchable items
- Object and menu item name changes
- General bug fixes
Unofficial Patches
v1.1
v1.1 (US) is an unofficial fan patch collated by Evil Planet user "walking fishy". Although designed for the US release, most game elements introduced should function with European versions of the game[2]. The patch improves upon many game elements that had previously frustrated players, including the following (further detail can be found on the Evil Planet Wiki):
- Improved henchman stats and reduced Act of Infamy times
- Hotel exclusive rooms now available to build elsewhere
- Some exterior objects may now be built inside
- Loot items carry over to second island
- Other requested fan features and bug fixes
Unofficial Steam Patch
The Unofficial Steam Patch (US/EU) is a fan patch developed by Steam user "LennardF1989" for the Steam version of the game. It includes many of the fixes and improvements from the US and EU official patch, as well as the unofficial v1.1 patch, and the content included on the Bonus CD, which is freely available on the internet.
Bonus CD
A free expansion to the game, it provides a new unit, a new trap, and various other additions.
It can be downloaded here.
Fully updating and improving the game
