Resolution
- Native resolution is 640x320[3], a 16:9 aspect ratio resolution.
- Resolutions that have a width equal to that of a integer multiplier of 640 (so 640x, 1280x, 1920x, 2560x, 3840x, etc) hides the Scaling Mode option since it is irrelevant for those resolutions.[3]
The Scaling Mode setting controls how the internal rendered resolution should be scaled and displayed on-screen.
- Pixel Perfect results in the image being displayed in the closest integer-ratio multiplier of 640x320 (so 640x320 (1x), 1280x720 (2x), 1920x1080 (3x), 2560x1440 (4x), 3200x1800 (5x) 3840x2160 (6x), etc)
- Scale maintains the original aspect ratio and applies anamorphic scaling, resulting in either letterboxing or pillarboxing depending on the width and height of the screen area.
