Instructions

Save Game Slowdowns

Having a lot of savegames can cause the game to momentarily freeze while loading the "Save Game" screen (most noticeable due to music pausing for a second).

This HDD bottleneck problem can be solved by cleaning up the SaveData folder: %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\My Games\XCOM - Enemy Unknown\XComGame\SaveData

Old unused saves should be either deleted or moved to another location.

Mods

The mod "Second Wave" can be used to unlock gameplay options that were put into the game, but locked by the development team.
