Refuses to load past initial copyright screen

This problem tends to appear on newer machines running Windows 7. To fix the issue, find the exe. file which is usually found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Vivendi Universal Games\ and right click on it. Here, click on properties and go to the compatibility tab, change the compatibility settings to Windows 98/ME and also tick the following:

  • Disable Visual Themes
  • Disable Desktop Composition

The game should now run perfectly on most new computers.
