Topic on Talk:Mighty No. 9

I got a DVD and the NES-styled USB, I installed the the former but both seem to use the same installer. When I decided to stick my RAY Expansion DLC folder into the game, it seems to crash the DRM-free Kickstarter version on PC (not sure about Mac or Linux) when attempting to start a game, however I went and compared some of the files and I noticed the executables, both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions, have some file size differences with the Steam version.

32-bit executables: • Kickstarter - 20.1 MB (20,588 Bytes) • Steam - 20 MB (20,578 Bytes)

64-bit executables: • Kickstarter - 25 MB (25,700 Bytes) • Steam - 25 MB (25,695 Bytes)

After replacing the original executable with the one from my Steam copy, it no longer crashes my game when trying to start a game. I am not sure if there's a way to maybe hex edit or the Kickstarter executables to match up with the Steam ones for those that have the DRM-free copy and finding their game is crashing because of the RAY DLC. Then again, I did get these Kickstarter copies from someone secondhand which didn't include the DLCs, just the base game itself (I'm guessing the backers got them through a download voucher).
