Xpadder is a program used to map any buttons on a PC controller to emulate Keyboard and Mouse controls.

Where to download

You can download Xpadder from this website.

How to use it

Upon opening the application for the first time, everything is probably blank. To start:

  • click on the controller icon in the top left corner and click on 'new'.
  • Navigate to 'Sticks', and enable both sticks by calibrating your controller to what it tells you to press on the screen.
  • Do the same for Dpad and triggers.
  • For 'Buttons', press all of the buttons on your controller.
  • Save this configuration in your installation folder. You will be able to choose this configuration any time in the future by clicking the controller icon again, clicking on 'open', and navigating to wherever you saved the profile.
  • You will see a screen full of blank buttons. Navigate to the menu icon to the right of the controller icon and press 'New'.
  • Try pressing different buttons on your controller to see which ones respond by turning green, and map them to certain mouse or keyboard commands by clicking on them.
  • You can save your button configurations by clicking on the menu icon and clicking 'save as'. You can do this for as many games as you want and just launch the button configurations by clicking 'open' from the menu icon.
