Wineskin is a tool based off of Wine used to make ports of Windows software for Mac OS X.
Wineskin Engine
A Wineskin Engine is a stock Wine build.
Wineskin Winery
The Wineskin Winery is a management program. It allows the user to keep up to date with the latest wrapper updates, engine versions, build your own engine from Wine source or create Wineskin wrappers to use. Note that the actual editing of a created wrapper is done from the wrapper itself.
Wrapper
A Wineskin Wrapper is the actual .app application files created in the Wineskin Winery.app. They 'wrap around' the Windows software, creating a fake C drive that contains a 'dosdevices' folder that maps folders on your system to drive letters that the Windows app will see, as-well as three .reg files that are on the Wine registry that store information any program writes in the Windows registry.
The wrappers are in the form of a normal Mac .app Application, which can be double clicked and ran just like a native app, the aim being to have one wrapper per application so that the final product is the Windows app wrapped up to look and work just like a Mac Application.
Downloading Wrappers
Game wrappers can be downloaded from Porting Team.
