Graphical Tweaks

The vast majority of graphical tweaks are accomplished by editing the games .ini configuration files with a word editing program such as notepad.

Resolution Fix

Go to <gameDir>\system. Open ut2003.ini. Find these lines:

FullscreenViewportX=xxxx
FullscreenViewportY=xxxx

Change to your desired resolution.

FOV Fix #1

Go to <gameDir>\system. Open user.ini. Find these lines:

DesiredFOV=85.000000
DefaultFOV=85.000000

Change to your desired FOV. Recommended 95 for a 16:10 resolution, and 102 for a 16:9 display.

FOV Fix #2

Setting the FOV higher than 100 in the user.ini will cause the value to be reset to 100 next time the game is launched. To get a FOV higher than 100, type fov value into the console, replacing the word value with whatever you want your FOV to be.

Mods

Various modifications, custom content such as characters, maps, plugins, and total-conversion mods can be downloaded and installed for Unreal Tournament 2003.

Maps

Maps are custom levels that are created using mod tools or editors.
