Such fixes are so common that, simply put, they don't belong on any game's wiki page here on PCGamingWiki. Furthermore, this particular type of fix is, ironically, unreliable, varying from person to person as to how effective they are. Very rarely does such a fix actually work reliably.

Also, to preempt the inevitable "but these games on this very wiki have this 'generic' fix" reply, 1) the wiki can be edited by anyone who creates a PCGamingWiki account, and 2) the PCGamingWiki staff, including myself, doesn't have unlimited time to patrol **all** the pages, which will inevitably leave out-of-date pages, and 3) it is, on rare occasions, determined that this generic fix is no-so-generic - but that is up to PCGamingWiki staff discretion.

Saying ** but these games on this very wiki have this 'generic' fix ** or not... is not probably an excuse to revert edit without a valid reason because IT'S A GENERIC FIX; or maybe even ** this particular type of fix is, ironically, unreliable, varying from person to person ** can be also mileading if not reading specific thread in the specific forum or similar. Where indeed reveals to be a source for finding fixes to multiple issues.

Since it's you locking down the Legacy of Kain pages: I've had enough of people manipulating the entry with redundant notes to my patch to Soul Reaver 2, so I wish it removed from the page by an editor, since it's currently *AGAIN* in lockdown. At this point it's annoying that I can't even do it myself, so yeah, I'd rather have it removed for good than having it under constant edit wars.

It keeps being tampered from time to time with the same redundant information, and last time it was locked with that still in page without any means to remove it, since I'm not an editor or a sub editor for my own entry. And since I don't like that kind of restriction (or the continuous vandalization), I rather have it completely removed to avoid further annoying tampering.

Ah, okay. If you weren't aware the previous lockdown was a one-time week-long lockdown that expired automatically. The current lockdown is indefinite as a result of the same constant edit warring which you have no doubt noticed, and which our senior edit Macgovern have attempted to clean up after and go through in more detail.

As it stands we see no reason to remove the lockdown anytime soon, and if you are fine with the current state of how the Soul Fixer section looks then I recommend we retain the section as is since, well, that section won't be changed anytime soon as a result of the indefinite lockdown. Otherwise we'll just get people ask why it's omitted from the page and ask us to add it.

In the rare case that you have something related to that section that needs changing while the page is in lockdown, writing on our Discord server (recommended) or writing on the Talk page is often enough.
