To do that I had to use OpenJK (vanilla game crash with z_malloc errors in both 4K and 8K), patch it with 4GB patch and put it into XP SP2 compatibility mode. This seems like the most stable option to play the game on Windows 11 22H2 in 4K at the moment. | To do that I had to use OpenJK (vanilla game crash with z_malloc errors in both 4K and 8K), patch it with 4GB patch and put it into XP SP2 compatibility mode. − | 4GB patch may be optional in 4K as the game seem to run okay without but since it does help somewhat in 8K I think that it wouldn't hurt. | + | 4GB patch may be optional in 4K as the game seem to run okay without it but since it does help somewhat in 8K I think that it wouldn't hurt in 4K either. |
XPSP2 compatibility resolves cutscene freezing issues for me. I've tried all the rest which are suggested all around the Internet - fps limit, running windowed, multiple tries - nothing work. | XPSP2 compatibility resolves cutscene freezing issues for me.
