There are some differences between the PS2 and PC versions. That scene near the beginning with the Closer attack, for example, is missing the muzzle flash when Heather starts shooting it on the PC release. There are a few scenes later that are missing some post-processing color adjustments that the PS2 version receives, and the PS2 version is a bit more vibrant in general. The PC version uses per-pixel lighting for the flashlight, resulting in a much smoother beam than the PS2's per-vertex. Moreover, though, there are a bunch of things that are just *different*.

> There are some sound alterations. The audio has been altered in a few cutscenes (Thessaly Lerner and Michael G's voices have been omitted, and there is a sound added after the elevator descent in the mall), the pitch of some noises have been changed (the screaming mannequin's voice is much higher on the PS2 version; on the PC version it's the same scream Heather makes when she falls to her death). There are some new loading screens. The chapel is slightly tweaked; on the PS2 version, after Heather acquires the Brass Key, the hallway outside of the confessional area has some bloody trails on the wall. On the PC version, it is completely enveloped by fiery, swarming, bloody patterns. The zoom function is also intensely magnified.

Compare the walls [here (PS2)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPxcmAUCDwM&feature=youtu.be&t=124) (happens at 2:04 if the timestamp doesn't work) and [here \(PC\)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYZ8shiCiuo&feature=related) (happens almost immedaitely).

I'm super interested in a notion of an enhanced patch. There's so much less work that needs to be done to get it up to par with the PS2 version that I'd be surprised if someone didn't take up the mantle eventually. Maybe once they get SH2's enhancement finalized.
