I'd like to ask if this is an acceptable fix, especially since the game's CD check is more of a space-saving measure than a copy-protection scheme as it was typical of children's games of the time. If it was in the case of games such as GTA Vice City where the game is run straight off the hard drive, but the original CD is used for authentication, then that's a different story.
