Anyway.. I was wondering if a modded steam_api.dll (I think it should be the liable dll) may help solving the problem.
Considering it's one of the most studied libraries on forums like cs.rin.ru (even if for different purposes...) it shouldn't be impossible to.. for instance passing the game just the first/last 50 friends in the steam list.

But maybe I'm just wandering too much <_>... btw andy, pm me on skype when you can I had some stuff to discuss (besides, I'd like that damn program hadn't started to show all contacts always online..)
