Translating this wiki to Polish

Hello Andytizer!

Last time you replied to a news on CDAction site, you mentioned something about contacting you here if willing to work on translating this wiki to Polish.

So, here I am.

Some info on me. - I am not 18+ years old - I am not someone with a confirmation of how fluidly I can speak in English in hand. That said, I can and am doing mistakes every now and then, but I am here to learn English (every attempt to use English makes us better in that language) while helping Polish folks who can't understand English too well. - I won't be able to work on this wiki every day all day. Actually, I am willing to translate something in my free time, but I will please you to forgive me if I don't appear on the wiki for long time (for example, a week or two) - probably something independent of me happened.

Thanks very much for your response :). Your English looks perfect, so I'm happy to have you around and make translations.

I still need to figure out exactly how to start the translation project on the technical side. I did not plan to support any other languages other than English, but I can see that there is a high demand in countries like Poland for a wiki like this.

You could start with a page like http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/The_Witcher_2 and then create the page http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/The_Witcher_2/pl as a Polish sub page.

Later we can figure out how to relate the articles together.

Do you mean that you did not use an usual code of Wikipedia? There always is kind of language bar on the left. I am not a professional website designer like you and I know nothing about coding websites, but I could swear this wiki looks almost the same as Wikipedia or other wikis! :)

OK, I will start with The Witcher 2 as soon as possible.

Thank you very much for your support, and for taking the time to translate. There is some special settings required to run translations- I am currently investigating. If you need any help, I am usually online in the webchat (IRC) when I am editing.

I did just a little bit of translation for test.

Tell me if it's ok.

I'm done for today, tomorrow I will do the rest of that page.

I hope it will turn out to be a well done work when I finish.

Thanks for letting me try!

Also, if you consider it anything good, I threw 1$ yesterday I think :)

Thanks for the huge amount of support - the page looks great at the moment.

Still looking into translation on the coding side, should find out soon.

Dravic (talkcontribs)

I finished The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings PL page.

Check it and tell me if it looks ok.

What next? :)

Also, there are pre-made templates for tabels etc. that are all in English (for example system requirements, or the info box with developer/publisher/engine/release date). Would it be possible to create a separate template in Polish for Polish pages?

Regards, Dravic

I'm happy for you to work on others pages if you want to. We are still working on the translation side to see what our best option will be. Thanks for the work, hopefully speak to you tomorrow.
