Hi, we've reviewed the diffs you've provided and don't see any violations of the editing guidelines. How are these edits related to piracy?

Cloud strife (talkcontribs)

epic_emu.ini is a file only a cracked version of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade would have, anything related to it is piracy, isn't it? The language change guide i linked says to use that file to change language if other methods fail, all that stuff about using epic_emu.ini is piracy related

Cloud strife (talkcontribs)

To be more specific, epic_emu.ini is part of a crack made to bypass the Epic Games Launcher, allowing games without a strong DRM to be launched without the Epic Games Launcher (and without buying said game), meaning it is illegal and anything, even guides, related to this crack should be considered piracy

Baronsmoki (talkcontribs)

OK, thanks for bringing this to our attention and pointing out the crack file. It does indeed seem to violate our guidelines. I'll follow up once we've decided on the action to take.

There's someone who tells people to use epic_emu.ini in the discussions for FFVII Remake (the user is User:31.223.26.184), I told him to stop, explaining him that epic_emu.ini is related to piracy and instead of listening he started insulting, do I need to make a new Topic for that?

Baronsmoki (talkcontribs)

I'd ask for both of you to be respectful to each other and mindful of our Code of conduct.

Cloud strife (talkcontribs)

Sure will, i would never insult or treat badly someone on purpose and if any action will be taken against me I won't say anything, If I didn't have to reply to your message, I'm sorry, good day/evening

31.223.26.184 (talkcontribs)

As you can see User:31.223.26.184 is me. I told him everything I can, I soon as he says that way only works on pirated version of the game, I showed him I was just showing guidelines that I found on another site to fix a problem. But these guidelines were not a way to make your game pirate or something else. It is now even close to that. And I don't have the pirated version of the game. But Cloud strife did not stopped there, instead of showing the legit way to do he is being cocky. And writed a whole paragraph to make fun of me. Even if I listened and showed him with proofs he wants. I'm not a member, so I think I can not delete or modify any of my messages and I would be a member if I didn't see a toxic member like him.

I'd ask for both of you to be respectful to each other and mindful of our Code of conduct. I understand that you didn't pirate the game, but "epic_emu.ini" is not included with legitimate copies. Fixes added to PCGW should therefore avoid mentioning this file, and should use command line arguments instead.
