Sid Meier's Civilization V is the fifth installment of the classic Turn Based strategy game series Civilization, developed by Firaxis.

Disabling the Starting Cinematic
A lot of people find this annoying. This tweak will not shorten the time the game launches in, as the game will show you a black screen for the small while that the cut scene would have been in.
Nevertheless, to do this:
- Navigate to My Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization V/ on a PC or ~/Documents/Aspyr/Sid Meier's Civilization 5 on a Mac.
- Look for the file "Usersettings.ini" and open it in a text editor like Notepad
- Search for the variable "SkipIntroVideo = 0"
- Change the 0 to 1
You can also delete the Civ5_Opening_Movie_en_** on your game folder or replace it with other video you please.
