Denuvo Anti-Tamper

From PCGamingWiki, the wiki about fixing PC games
Revision as of 18:07, 9 July 2016 by Anonymous (talk | contribs) (Who made these positive? "Well, it's not making my experience as a paying customer significantly worse like most DRM, so yay?" Stop appreciating crap as if it was a good thing.)

Key Points

Used in conjunction with account-based DRM for many newer titles.
Unobtrusive because activation happens during the DRM's pre-existing mandatory one-time online check-in.
Has no performance impact ("only performance non-critical game functions are used in the Anti-Tamper process"). Does not degrade SSDs, because it doesn't perform an arbitrarily high number of read-write operations.
Limited to five activations, which resets 24 hours after the first activation.
Significantly increases difficulty of modding, due to its obfuscation of game functions.
