Denuvo Anti-Tamper
From PCGamingWiki, the wiki about fixing PC games
Key Points
- Used in conjunction with account-based DRM for many newer titles.
- Unobtrusive because activation happens during the DRM's pre-existing mandatory one-time online check-in.
- Has no performance impact ("only performance non-critical game functions are used in the Anti-Tamper process"). Does not degrade SSDs, because it doesn't perform an arbitrarily high number of read-write operations.
- Limited to five activations, which resets 24 hours after the first activation.
- Significantly increases difficulty of modding, due to its obfuscation of game functions.
