Getting stuck in an invisible wall in a vent
Possible solutions:
- Capping to 60FPS: Thread on Steam forums
- Verifying game cache: Thread on Steam forums
Graphical Tweaks
Field of Vision Fix (FOV)
Field of vision is by default set to 40. Most will consider this too low, and can adjust it by using a tool called Widescreen Fixer.
Performance Improvements
Windowed Mode
Running the game in windowed mode has been reported to alleviate certain frame rate issues.
Save Game Data
Folder Location
- Windows 7
c:\Users\%USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\DarknessII\CONTINUE.SAV
- Windows XP
C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\Application Data\DarknessII\xxx\CONTINUE.SAV
Improvements
Borderless Fullscreen Windowed
No native support. Unofficial utility Borderless Windowed is fully compatible with The Darkness II.
