Metal Gear Solid is a stealth-action videogame from Konami, launched in 1998. It's the first game in the Metal Gear Solid series and is a sequel to Kojima's early MSX2 computer games Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. It was very well received by critics and was heralded by many as one of the most important games of all time.
