Topic on PCGamingWiki talk:Editing guide/References
This is a page about using credible sources when referencing statements or facts, aimed at new editors adding new statements to the wiki.
Like it or not but in regards to that, the use of TB as an example has a diminishing relevance as he cannot produce any more content, and so he is only relevant for those games he have already covered -- which peters out at the end of 2017, early 2018. And for those cases, we probably already covers most of what he have said in our articles.
This is not a dig at the guy himself, but merely an acknowledgement of how as the years go by the use of him as an example of a "notable" YouTube series/personality that newcomers to the wiki might have heard about or watch the content of is ever decreasing.
It's better if we make use of an example that is relevant for newer games as well as readers might be interested in looking them up and see what they have said about the latest games and whatnot, and if we were to retain TB in that regard it would've only ended up being an eulogy to TB, and not as an actual help for our users.
I'll probably add DigitalFoundry as the example eventually as their focus on the technical aspects of a game as well as their comparisons to console ports is usually of highest relevance for the wiki nowadays.
