DDRAW Wrapper Fix[1]

DDRAW Wrapper

Download the DDRAW Wrapper from here.

You will need to edit your ds9dw.exe with a hex editor and change 2 lines in your .exe. Search for the text string ddraw.dll and change the 2 lines to ddra2.dll. Place the ddra2.dll into your install directory.

Notes
This fix will work with any version of the game but is recommended to have patch 1.04, 1.05 will work but has its own problems.

Game crashes

dgVoodoo2

If you receive unsupported graphics card or slow downs, you can try using dgVoodoo2. Place the files d3d8.dll, d3dimm.dll and ddraw.dll inside of installation folder next to your ds9dw.exe.

Change desktop resolution

If you crash in the menu or your mouse doesn't work, this is due to a bug with the game. Any resolution that is 1600x900 or above will either cause the game to lock and freeze or prevent you from using your mouse. You will need to set your Desktop Resolution to something bellow this resolution limit.
