Warnings
- This game is not playable in English (see Localizations for supported languages).
- The Mac OS X version of this game does not work on Mac OS X Lion (version 10.7) or later due to the removal of support for PowerPC apps.
Key points
- The PS2 version (which came out months after the original PC version) adds slightly better graphics, a more tolerable Monkey Kombat and higher quality audio for FMVs (see "Essential Improvements").

Essential improvements
Patches
- Patch v1.1 is the latest patch, available from Disney's support page.
- All digital versions have already been patched to v1.1.
Replacement installer and launcher (only essential for retail copies)
- Bennyboy's Replacement Installer enables installing the game on modern systems.
- It includes an Improved Launcher, which enables high resolutions and windowed mode. It can also download and install the v1.1 patch.
DREAMM
- DREAMM bypasses the installation issues and provides a stable emulated environment that allows the game to run without issues on modern Windows, macOS, and Linux systems.
- Limited graphical options compared to dgVoodoo.
Add content from the PS2 version
- The PS2 version (which came out after the PC version) of the game includes better quality audio tracks for the videos, some extra dialogue lines omitted from the PC version, and a help chart for the Monkey Kombat minigame.

dgVoodoo 2
- Can be used to force anti-aliasing and higher resolution.
Instructions[3]
|
- Download the latest version of dgVoodoo 2 and extract it.
- Copy all the files from the
MS\x86 folder and paste the files into the game installation folder.
- Run
dgVoodooCpl.exe and in the DirectX tab set the resolution and anti-aliasing.
- For best results use a 4:3 resolution matching your vertical resolution (for example 1440x1080 for 1080p or 1920x1440 for 1440p) and set scaling mode in the General tab to Centered.
- Make sure to leave Filtering in the Texturing section of the Direct3D tab set to App driven to avoid broken backgrounds.
- Ensure that the Enable Direct3D launcher setting is selected. The launcher defaults to OpenGL every time it starts, unless Direct3D is explicitly chosen.[4]
Notes
- If shadow rendering is broken, set Shadow Effects to Minimal in the in-game video settings.
