Does the new version of FEZ still use the same OpenAL Soft version?

I noticed you removed the OpenAL Soft version crash on FEZ. Has the game's OpenAL Soft version been updated to a later one? If so, I can tell you the issue will still be there. Specifically, from my testing when I had a Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi, if a game uses an older version of OpenAL Soft, such as 1.15.0, it will crash. While I don't know the specific version of OpenAL Soft used by FEZ using the last patch, this issue has been documented elsewhere. Thankfully, the fix is typically a drop-in solution - in almost all the games which use an older version of OpenAL Soft, simply replacing the DLL with a newer stable one fixes the issue with the SoundBlaster X-Fi and caused no changes in behavior. The only game which had the problem and didn't work is OpenSpades 0.12b.

FEZ 1.12 uses AL Soft 1.17.2, so it should be fixed now.
